El doctor Xavier Mir, traumatólogo de confianza de la mayoría de los pilotos y que el pasado lunes examinó a Dani Pedrosa, ha explicado hoy que el equipo de médicos que dirige hará "todo lo posible" para que el español "esté en Montmeló".
La desafortunada caída de Pedrosa en el GP de Mugello tuvo como consecuencia la fractura del trocánter mayor del fémur derecho, un hueso cercano al tendón piramidal por donde pasa el nervio ciático, lo que le provoca, además del dolor típico en cualquier traumatismo, "molestos calambres en la pierna", ha explicado el doctor Mir.
Pedrosa estuvo el pasado lunes en el Instituto Universitario Dexeus para someterse a un TAC tridimensional que confirmó el alcance de la lesión.
El próximo lunes volverá a la clínica para que la realicen una nueva exploración y, en función de los resultados de la misma, decidir si participa ya en los entrenamientos de ese mismo viernes en el Circuito de Cataluña.
El doctor Mir no se atrevió a avanzar si el piloto de Repsol Honda llegará a tiempo de participar en el Gran Premio de Catalunya, que se disputará el 12, 13 y 14 de junio, pero dejó entrever que así será, aunque sea claramente mermado en sus facultades, dadas "las ganas importantes que Dani tiene de correr en Montmeló".
