El ministro de Asuntos Exteriores, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, preside esta tarde en Madrid el acto institucional en memoria del Holocausto y de la prevención de los crímenes contra la humanidad, con el que se conmemora la liberación del campo de concentración de Auschwitz (Polonia) en 1945.
Moratinos estará acompañado por los ministros de Educación, Ángel Gabilondo, y Cultura, Ángeles González-Sinde, por el embajador de Israel, Raphael Schutz, y por representantes de la comunidad judía en España.
Es la sexta ocasión en que se conmemora el Día Oficial de la Memoria del Holocausto y de la Prevención de los Crímenes contra la Humanidad, con el que se homenajea a los seis millones de judíos que murieron a manos de los nazis durante la II Guerra Mundial.
El acto, que tendrá lugar en el Paraninfo de la Universidad Complutense, está organizado por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y por la Casa Sefarad, la institución pública encargada de promover las relaciones entre España, Israel y la comunidad judía.
