Un hombre de 38 años y nacionalidad española murió la pasada madrugada en Villamanta tras recibir un disparo de un guardia civil al que intentó atropellar durante una huida que había comenzado en Ávila.
Según ha informado un portavoz de la Comandancia de la Guardia Civil de Madrid, el suceso ocurrió sobre la una de la pasada madrugada en Villamanta, cercana a Navalcarnero, donde el agente disparó al conductor de un vehículo que se había dado a la fuga en dos controles y que había sacado de la carretera a un coche de la Guardia Civil, hiriendo a sus dos ocupantes.
El conductor iba huyendo desde la localidad abulense de Sotillo de la Adrada, cercana al límite con Madrid, en la que una dotación de la Guardia Civil le dio el alto y el conductor, en lugar de parar, intentó atropellar a los agentes y huyó.
A continuación sacó de la carretera M-501 a un coche e hizo caso omiso a otros agentes que le dieron el ato en Navas del Rey (Madrid), a los que también sacó de la carretera, dejándolos heridos, y finalmente se enfrentó con otros dos guardias civiles en Villamanta, donde uno de ellos le disparó cuando iba a ser atropellado.
