Al menos un miembro de las fuerzas de seguridad paquistaníes murió hoy y dos resultaron heridos en un atentado suicida ocurrido en la parte de la región de Cachemira administrada por Pakistán, informó a Efe una fuente policial.
El ataque tuvo lugar en la zona de Dothan, situada a unos 15 kilómetros de la localidad de Rawalakot, cuando un suicida hizo estallar la carga explosiva que portaba al paso de un vehículo militar, explicó la fuente.
El canal privado "Dawn" elevó a dos el número de víctimas mortales sin identificar a su fuente.
Los heridos han sido trasladados a un hospital militar, mientras que las fuerzas de seguridad han acordonado la zona.
El primer ministro paquistaní, Yusuf Razá Guilani, condenó la acción en un comunicado y ordenó que se abra una investigación para esclarecer lo sucedido.
La parte paquistaní de Cachemira, hasta hace pocos meses prácticamente ajena a la violencia terrorista que sufre el país, ha sido objeto en los últimos tiempos de varios atentados.
Además, en el extremo noroccidental de Pakistán, en la frontera con Afganistán, un grupo de insurgentes destruyó con explosivos un centro sanitario de la región tribal de Khyber.
También en esta demarcación dos miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad resultaron heridos en un ataque contra el convoy en que viajaban, hecho que provocó una reacción militar que acabó con la muerte de un insurgente, según fuentes oficiales citadas por Dawn.
