Un oficial noruego falleció hoy al explotarle una bomba mientras patrullaba en un vehículo 7 kilómetros al oeste de Mazar-i-Sharif, en el norte de Afganistán, informó el Ministerio de Defensa noruego.
La bomba explotó mientras cuatro soldados noruegos, que iban en dos vehículos, inspeccionaban la zona.
El oficial fue trasladado en helicóptero al hospital de campaña alemán en Mazar-i-Sharif, donde murió horas después.
Los otros tres soldados resultaron ilesos en el atentado.
Con este son cuatro los soldados noruegos muertos en Afganistán desde 2003.
Noruega mantiene actualmente en este país asiático un contingente de 585 soldados, que forman parte de la Misión Internacional de Asistencia a la Seguridad en Afganistán (ISAF) de la OTAN.
