El número uno mundial, el español Rafael Nadal, se medirá con el argentino David Nalbandian, séptimo cabeza de serie del torneo Conde de Godó, tras fulminar hoy al belga Christophe Rochus, por un claro 6-2 y 6-0 en 55 minutos.
Tras colocarse en cuartos de final por quinto año consecutivo, Nadal se enfrentará ahora contra la raqueta número dos argentina, contra el que tuvo que levantar cinco bolas de partido en los octavos de final del Master 1000 de Indian Wells este año.
"Nalbandian es un rival de máximo nivel, va a ser dificilísimo. Hay que ver como va, porque estuve muy cerquita de perder contra él", dijo Nadal a pie de pista. "Habrá que salir con máximo respeto y sabiendo que será un partido difícil", añadió.
