El mallorquín Rafael Nadal, número uno del mundo, puede adjudicarse el récord de victorias consecutivas en el Masters de Montecarlo, en el que acumula cuatro títulos consecutivos, tras superar en semifinales al escocés Andy Murray por 6-2 y 7-6 (4).
El español, que invirtió dos horas y siete minutos para imponerse al británico, va a medirse en la final al serbio Novak Djokovic (3), que superó por 4-6, 6-1 y 6-3 al ecuatoriano Stanislas Wawrinka. Nadal suma veintiséis victorias consecutivas en el campeonato monegasco.
