Reza un viejo adagio popular que sólo los niños y los borrachos dicen la verdad. El ex ministro Juan Costa no es, que se sepa, ni lo uno ni lo otro, pero ayer manifestó dos verdades de a puño: Rajoy "tiene que demostrar que es una alternativa de Gobierno" y Camps "no ha estado a la altura" de las circunstancias en la gestión del escándalo Gürtel.
Es más que probable que Costa hablase desde el resentimiento, ya que su hermano Ricardo ha sido, de momento, el único paganini del desaguisado valenciano. Sin embargo, con independencia de motivaciones personales, cuestionar el liderazgo de Rajoy se ha convertido ya en un deporte en las filas del PP: ayer mismo, otra conspicua figura conservadora, Manuel Pizarro, manifestó lo que muchos piensan en el partido y pocos proclaman en público: que el ex vicepresidente económico Rodrigo Rato sería un "excelente presidente del Gobierno".
Mientras le cae el aguacero, Rajoy espera el supermartes para hacer un agónico alarde de autoridad. Su número dos, María Dolores de Cospedal, ha ofrecido un abrebocas, diciendo que ciertos comportamientos en el partido "no se los merecen ni los militantes ni los españoles". Al igual que Juan Costa, De Cospedal dice una gran verdad pese a no ser ni niña ni borracha.
