Madrid 29 abr (EFE).- El paro subió en el primer trimestre de 2011 en catorce comunidades autónomas, en especial en Navarra, Baleares, Aragón y Galicia, con incrementos entre el 16 y el 11 por ciento, mientras que bajó en tres autonomías: Madrid, La Rioja y Canarias.
Según la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA), difundida hoy por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), en el conjunto de España el paro subió, en relación al trimestre anterior, en 213.500 personas, un 4,55 por ciento, con lo que la cifra de parados se situó en 4.910.200 personas y la tasa de paro en el 21,29.
El paro subió especialmente en Navarra (16,76 por ciento), por delante de Baleares (12,03 por ciento), Aragón (11,79 por ciento) y Galicia (11,32).
Por el contrario, el paro descendió en Madrid (3,68 por ciento), La Rioja (1,33 por ciento), Canarias (0,63) y la ciudad autónoma de Melilla, donde decreció el 6,45 por ciento.
En términos absolutos, el paro aumentó más en Andalucía, con 60.200 personas, seguido de Cataluña, 40.900, la Comunidad Valenciana, 24.000, y Galicia, 23.000 parados más.
En cuanto a la tasa de paro, Andalucía registró la más alta (29,68), por delante de Canarias (28,52) y Murcia (26,16), muy por encima todas ellas de la media nacional (21,29).
En relación al primer trimestre de 2010, el paro subió más en Aragón (15,96 por ciento) y Baleares (13,09) y solo bajó en Madrid, el 5,50 por ciento.
El siguiente cuadro recoge por comunidades autónomas el número de parados (en miles) en el primer trimestre de 2011, además de la variación en cifras absolutas y en porcentaje respecto al trimestre anterior y al mismo período del año pasado, así como la tasa de paro:
