La ministra de Fomento, Ana Pastor, ha asegurado hoy que a pesar de que el presupuesto del departamento para este año es "austero", Fomento seguirá siendo el ministerio de la inversión y la "punta de lanza" de la recuperación económica.
Durante una rueda de prensa con motivo de la presentación de los presupuestos generales de 2012, Pastor ha señalado que el objetivo del ministerio es realizar una planificación realista que dé prioridad a las inversiones a fin de favorecer la cohesión social y la equidad entre los españoles, de forma que no "haya ni un solo euro malgastado".
Para este año, los recursos de Fomento se han reducido un 8,6 % hasta los 20.104 millones de euros, de los que un 59 % corresponden a inversiones y un 41 % a gastos operativos, según el proyecto de los Presupuestos Generales del Estado.
En consecuencia, la dotación total para la política de infraestructura correspondiente a este ejercicio asciende a 11.386,9 millones, el 22,2 % menos que un año antes, de los que 6.938,1 corresponden al sector público empresarial y el resto, 4.448,8 millones, son inversión directa del Estado.
