El Producto Interior Bruto (PIB) de los países de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico (OCDE) creció el 0,7 por ciento entre enero y marzo pasados, según los datos preliminares publicados hoy por la organización.
Se trata del cuarto incremento trimestral consecutivo, tras los registrados en el segundo trimestre de 2009 (0,3%), en el tercero (0,6%) y en el cuarto (0,9%).
La OCDE precisa que en el denominado grupo de los "siete grandes", -el G7, integrado por Alemania, Canadá, Estados Unidos, Francia, Italia, Japón y Reino Unido-, el PIB avanzó el 0,7 por ciento entre enero y marzo.
En ese mismo periodo, en el conjunto de la Unión Europea (UE) el incremento fue del 0,2 por ciento, el mismo que el registrado en la zona euro.
Por países, el PIB de Japón creció el 1,2 por ciento; el de Estados Unidos, el 0,8 por ciento; el de Italia, el 0,5 por ciento, y el del Reino Unido, el 0,3%.
La OCDE recoge también los resultados interanuales entre el primer trimestre de este año y el de 2009, periodo en el que el PIB del conjunto de sus Estados miembros subió un 2,5 por ciento "tras cinco trimestres consecutivos de contracción", subraya el comunicado difundido por la organización.
El mismo incremento se registró en Estados Unidos, mientras que en Japón la subida alcanzó el 4,2 por ciento, en la UE el 0,3 por ciento y en la zona euro, el 0,2 por ciento.
Por países, dentro del G7 el único descenso durante esos doce meses correspondió al Reino Unido, del 0,2 por ciento.
En los demás, el PIB correspondiente al primer trimestre del año fue superior al del mismo periodo de 2009, con incrementos que van desde el 1,5 por ciento en Alemania, al 0,6 por ciento en Italia.
