El director del Proyecto Gran Simio, Pedro Pozas, pidió ayer a Cuatro que suspenda la emisión del espacio El Último Superviviente por considerarlo "un programa engañoso, antiecológico, no educativo y contraproducente". Pozas, que entregó el lunes en la cadena dos misivas con su reivindicación dirigidas a los directivos de la cadena, entiende que el programa, en el que el protagonista, Bear Grylls, mata animales para alimentarse en entornos naturales como la selva o el desierto, "es contrario al respeto que se merecen nuestros últimos reductos naturales y su fauna". "Que una persona mate animales, de una forma innecesaria y engañosa, es lo último que debería mostrarse en una televisión, sobre todo a los menores", indica Pozas en un comunicado.
Asimismo, el responsable de esta organización de defensa de los grandes simios, que también lucha por preservar las selvas tropicales, denuncia que muchos de los consejos que ofrece el protagonista son "inútiles o peligrosos". Así, indica por ejemplo que es imprudente decir que las aves siempre están cerca de donde hay agua, cuando no siempre es así, o explicar cómo comer una rana viva, cuando hay especies venenosas.
Fuentes de la cadena indicaron ayer a este diario que no tenían constancia de esta solicitud del Proyecto Gran Simio. e_SClB
