La gobernante y conservadora Organización Revolucionaria Macedonia del Interior (VMRO-DPMNE) obtuvo la victoria en las elecciones parlamentarias celebradas el domingo en ese país, según los resultados proporcionados hoy por la Comisión Electoral.
Este partido, encabezado por el actual primer ministro, Nikola Gruevski, obtuvo el 48,33 por ciento de los votos, según datos basados en el recuento del 98,49 por ciento de los sufragios.
La opositora Unión Socialdemócrata de Macedonia (SDSM) consiguió el 23,39 por ciento de los apoyos, según esos datos.
Entre los partidos de la minoría albanesa, que es una cuarta parte de los dos millones del habitantes del país balcánico, la opositora Unión Democrática para la Integración (DUI), derivada de la antigua guerrilla, logró el 11,09 por ciento, frente al Partido Democrático de los Albaneses (DPA), con el 10,20 por ciento.
Sólo una formación más, el Partido por el Futuro Europeo (PEI), del hombre de negocios Fiat Canovski, entrará en el futuro Parlamento, según la Comisión Electoral, que le otorga el 1,46 por ciento de los votos.
La prensa local señaló que la VMRO-DPMNE tendrá mayoría absoluta y ocupará 64 de los 120 escaños en el Parlamento, mientras que la SDSM tendrá 28 diputados.
Un día después de los comicios aún no había información sobre el número de escaños que ocuparán los partidos albaneses, dado que se espera la repetición en las zonas del norte y noroeste, pobladas por esa minoría, donde se registraron ayer varios incidentes armados y otras irregularidades.
