El base del DKV Joventut Ricky Rubio se ha reunido con los responsables de los Kings de Sacramento, equipo de la NBA que elegirá en la cuarta posición del 'draft' del próximo 25 de junio, para valorar su posible incorporación al equipo californiano a partir de la próxima temporada.
El joven jugador español, que ha viajado a los Estados Unidos para conocer sobre el terreno sus posibilidades de jugar el año que viene en la NBA, mantuvo una reunión con Geoff Petrie, presidente de los Kings, uno de los equipos que más interés ha mostrado en contar con Ricky Rubio.
El jugador también se sometió a un reconocimiento médico y concedió una entrevista a la página web del club y a varios diarios locales.
Sacramento será el cuarto equipo de la NBA en elegir en el "draft" que se celebrará el próximo 25 de junio en Nueva York, y su interés por Ricky parece mayor que los dos primeros equipos en elegir, Clippers y Grizzlies.
El tercer equipo que elegirá jugador, Oklahoma City, también ha apuntado un cierto interés en Ricky Rubio, cuyo regreso a España está previsto para el próximo domingo, ya que el 23 de junio se celebrará el acto de conciliación entre el jugador y el DKV Joventut para intentar llegar a un acuerdo sobre su cláusula de rescisión.
