La vicepresidenta segunda y ministra de Economía y Hacienda, Elena Salgado, aseguró hoy que el informe de la Comisión Europea, que indica que la situación de España será de "alto riesgo" si no se reducen el déficit y la deuda y se realizan profundas reformas en las pensiones y la sanidad, no le crea "ninguna inquietud" porque se refiere al año 2060.
"Por supuesto que no", aseguró Salgado al ser preguntada en el patio del Congreso por si existe riesgo para la economía española y el sistema de pensiones, ya que "hay tiempo, mucho tiempo" para hacer las reformas necesarias que reclama Bruselas, en las que "ya está trabajando" el Pacto de Toledo.
Asimismo, la vicepresidenta económica insistió en que la Seguridad Social "sigue haciendo contribuciones al fondo de pensiones", por lo que éstas están "absolutamente" garantidas. En cualquier caso, señaló que no considera que sea su competencia responder al contenido de este informe sobre el futuro de las pensiones.
"No creo que yo tenga que hablar de este tema en este momento", subrayó.
