El candidato oficialista Juan Manuel Santos, el más votado en las elecciones celebradas hoy en Colombia, con el 46,57 por ciento de los votos, se disputará la Presidencia en segunda vuelta con el aspirante por el Partido Verde, Antanas Mockus, que obtuvo el 21,55 por ciento.
La Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil ofreció estos resultados cuando se ha escrutado el 91,80 por ciento de las mesas.
A Santos y Mockus les siguen el candidato de Cambio Radical Germán Vargas Lleras, con 10,24 por ciento; el izquierdista Gustavo Petro, del Polo Alternativo Democrático (PDA), con el 9,22 por ciento; la conservadora Noemí Sanín, con el 6,05; y el liberal Rafael Pardo, con el 4,26 por ciento.
De los 32 departamentos del país, Santos ganó en todos menos en el selvático Putumayo (sur), el único en el que Mockus tiene la mayoría de los votos.
Al no alcanzar ninguno de los candidatos mayoría absoluta en las elecciones celebradas hoy, Santos y Mockus se disputarán la Jefatura del Estado colombiano en una segunda vuelta prevista para el 20 de junio.
Estos resultados, considerados prácticamente definitivos dado el avance del escrutinio, están lejos de las encuestas de intención de voto difundidas en semanas previas a las elecciones que indicaban un empate técnico de Santos y Mockus.
Uno de estos dos candidatos será el sucesor del presidente Álvaro Uribe, quien tras ocho años dejará el gobierno en agosto, después de que la Corte Constitucional no le permitiera presentarse a una segunda reelección.
