Sergio Scariolo, seleccionador nacional, hará pública, el próximo lunes a las 13.00 horas, la relación de jugadores convocados que prepararán, a partir del 30 de julio, la participación de España en el Eurobasket 2009, que se jugará en Polonia del 7 al 20 de septiembre.
La Casa Encendida, el centro social y cultural de Obra Social Caja Madrid en la capital de España, será el escenario en el que el seleccionador despejará la gran incógnita: la presencia o no de Pau Gasol, aunque en las últimas horas ha cobrado fuerza la presencia del pívot de Los Angeles Lakers.
Scariolo, además de ofrecer su primera convocatoria como seleccionador español, dará a conocer los detalles de la hoja de ruta de preparación que seguirán los actuales campeones del mundo y subcampeones olímpicos y continentales desde el 30 de julio.
