El seleccionador turco, Fatih Terim, dijo, tras la victoria 1-3 por la tanda de penaltis contra Croacia de hoy en cuartos de final de la Eurocopa, aseguró que lo que le pasó a su equipo, que empató en el último minuto de la prórroga, "es algo único en la historia".
"Somos un equipo fuerte. Hemos luchado y llegamos hasta los penaltis. La victoria y lo que hoy pasó es realmente único en la historia", dijo el técnico al comentar el gol del empate a uno que logró Turquía en el último minuto de la prórroga y uno después de encajar el tanto del croata Ivan Klasnic.
"Nuestro equipo ha jugado muy bien y no hemos cedido. Nuestro pueblo puede festejar esta importante victoria", declaró el técnico al término del partido en el estadio vienés Ernst Happel.
Por su parte, el centrocampista turco Hamit Altintop dijo que fue "un partido indescriptible. La moral que hemos demostrado es increíble. Somos unos equipo, que aún no está maduro, pero vamos por bueno camino y si continuamos creyendo en nosotros, puede pasar de todo".
