Una treintena de asociaciones y entidades han firmado un manifiesto contra los criterios de empadronamiento del ayuntamiento de Vic (Barcelona), que restringe a los inmigrantes sin papeles la posibilidad de empadronarse.
En el manifiesto se pide la retirada inmediata de los criterios que se han anunciado porque consideran que son ilegales, discriminatorios y contradicen el Pacto Nacional para la Inmigración.
También reclaman respeto por el colectivo de personas inmigrantes y que se deje de criminalizar a las personas sólo por su origen, su condición social o su situación administrativa.
En el documento se dice además que el primer requisito de una buena convivencia es el diálogo constructivo y respetuoso con la dignidad y los derechos de todas las personas, y que por ello no deben tomarse decisiones que impidan una auténtica participación ciudadana.
