Tres personas han muerto en el accidente que se ha registrado hoy en la A-6, en el término municipal de Columbrianos, en León, cuando un turismo se ha salido de la vía, ha caído por un terraplén de unos cien metros y se ha incendiado, según han explicado a Efe fuentes de los servicios de emergencias.
El suceso se ha registrado poco después de las 19.00 horas, cuando un BMW 525, en el que viajaban las tres personas, se ha salido de la vía a la altura del kilómetro 387 de la Autovía del Noroeste cuando circulaba en dirección a Madrid.
Como consecuencia de la salida de vía, el turismo se ha precipitado por un terraplén de unos 100 metros donde ha quedado volcado y, posteriormente, se ha incendiado.
El vehículo ha caído en las inmediaciones de un túnel situado a 300 metros de la iglesia de la localidad de Columbrianos, hasta donde se desplazaron los efectivos de emergencias.
Los bomberos de Ponferrada (León) han intervenido para sofocar las llamas del vehículo en el lugar del siniestro hasta donde también se ha movilizado el helicóptero de emergencias y una ambulancia de soporte vital básico del servicio regional de salud, el Sacyl, así como personal de la Guardia Civil y la Policía Municipal de Ponferrada.
Parte de la dotación de emergencias permanece en la zona para facilitar la retirada del vehículo siniestrado una vez el juez ordene el levantamiento de los cadáveres.
