La presidenta de la Asociación de Vecinos de Chueca, Diana Abbott, dijo este jueves que le parece bien que la fiesta del Orgullo Gay continúe celebrándose en este barrio madrileño, por el significado simbólico que tiene para el colectivo homosexual, pero precisó que no puede convertirse en un 'macrobotellón' que vulnera el reglamento sobre ruido.
La delegada de Medio Ambiente en el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, Ana Botella, ha convocó a los representantes del Colectivo de Lesbianas, Gays, Transexuales y Bisexuales de Madrid (COGAM) para plantearles que el grueso de las fiestas del Orgullo no se celebrarán en el barrio de Chueca el próximo año.
Abbott consideró necesario que los vecinos sean incluidos en las negociaciones sobre las fiestas del Orgullo Gay en Chueca y denunció que los participantes están incumpliendo el reglamento sobre ruido, algo que ya ha quedado claro en la primera noche y que, apuntó, va a continuar así en los próximos días.
Tras reconocer que Chueca tiene un carácter simbólico para la comunidad gay, que favorece la celebración del evento en el barrio, señaló que lo que no es admisible es que la fiesta se convierta en un 'macrobotellón'.
'En el futuro vamos a estar ahí presentes para negociar todo esto y a ver si sale a satisfacción de todo el mundo y no sólo de una parte', concluyó.
