La guipuzcoana Ainhoa Murua se alzó con el oro en la categoría elite femenina en la Copa de Europa de Triatlón que se disputó en la localidad lusa de Quarteira, mientras que Fernando Alarza logró el bronce, informó hoy la Federación Española.
La guipuzcoana completó una espléndida carrera, ocupando en todo momento los puestos de cabeza. La irlandesa Aileen Morrison fue segunda a 27 segundos de Murua, mientras que el bronce quedó para la francesa Carole Peon, que cruzó la línea de meta a más de 40 segundos de la española.
En la prueba elite masculina Fernando Alarza se hizo con el bronce, resultado con el que se asegura su participación en el próximo Campeonato de Europa. El triunfo fue para el francés Aurélien Raphael, seguido por su compatriota Pierre Le Corre.
