La primera ministra de Australia, Julia Gillard, llegará mañana lunes a China para buscar nuevas oportunidades de cooperación bilateral y profundizar en la confianza y el conocimiento mutuo, dijo el embajador chino en Canberra, Chen Yuming, a la agencia oficial Xinhua.
En su primera visita oficial a China, Gillard se reunirá con el presidente, Hu Jintao, y con el primer ministro, Wen Jiabao.
Además, la primera ministra australiana participará en dos grandes seminarios económicos conjuntos para la búsqueda de oportunidades de las empresas y mantendrá reuniones sobre ciencia y educación.
"La visita será crucial para impulsar los intercambios, la cooperación amplia y la confianza política mutua entre China y Australia", dijo Chen.
La reciente aprobación por China del Plan Quinquenal hasta 2015 ofrece también numerosas oportunidades para la cooperación bilateral.
"En los últimos años, los intercambios económicos entre ambos países fueron estrechos y ayudaron a superar la crisis financiera y conseguir la recuperación y el desarrollo," señaló Chen a Xinhua.
