El alcalde de Barcelona, Xavier Trias, ha dicho hoy que Eurovegas "no nos sacará de la crisis", aunque ha señalado que, si finalmente el complejo de ocio se levanta en Barcelona, "bienvenido sea".
Durante la clausura hoy de una jornada sobre comercio en la escuela de negocios Esade, Trias ha dicho que mucha gente cree que Eurovegas nos sacará de la crisis y "eso no es verdad", aunque ha reconocido que si se hace cerca de Barcelona traerá más trabajo.
Trias ha asegurado que para ser la ciudad de la potencia que es, Barcelona no necesita a Eurovegas, porque la capital catalana se distingue por ser una ciudad de cultura y de conocimiento, de capacidad industrial, de turismo y de comercio, entre otras muchas cosas.
El alcalde ha apostado por potenciar estos activos por los que Barcelona es conocida en el mundo y dar una buena imagen de la ciudad, aunque a veces se vean fotos de actos vandálicos o de barraquismo. Xavier Trias ha apostado por "coger el toro por los cuernos" y ser capaces de reaccionar ante la crisis actual, y ha dicho que Barcelona tiene una buena situación para reaccionar "si somos serios", porque la ciudad tiene, a su juicio, unos activos muy importantes.
