Actualizado:
El presidente del Gobierno español, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, afirmó hoy que la presidencia española de la UE durante el primer semestre de 2010 tiene que ser "la de la recuperación económica".
En unas declaraciones con el presidente de la Comisión Europea, José Manuel Durao Barroso, Zapatero dijo que el semestre de presidencia española se centrará en tres capítulos: favorecer la recuperación económica, desarrollar los derechos de los ciudadanos europeos y potenciar el papel de la Unión Europea en el mundo.
Barroso destacó el "papel global muy importante" de España como novena economía mundial, por lo que apoyó que se confirme formalmente la participación del país en todas las citas del G20.
