El Gobierno de China negó de nuevo hoy su implicación en los "ciberataques" a Google, y defendió la censura en Internet como necesaria para controlar contenidos dañinos tras denunciar lo que considera implicación del Departamento de Estado en el asunto.
"La acusación de que el gobierno chino participó en un ataque cibernético, explícita o implícitamente, es infundada y tiene el objetivo de denigrar a China", dijo hoy un portavoz del ministerio de Industria y Tecnología en declaraciones a la agencia oficial Xinhua.
"La política de China sobre seguridad en Internet es transparente y firme", afirmó la misma fuente tras señalar que es una preocupación mundial que requiere esfuerzos internacionales coordinados.
El ministerio se pronunció sobre la crisis desatada por los "cibertataques" a cuentas de Google en China, casi dos semanas después de que el buscador gigante dijera que podría marcharse del gigante asiático debido a la censura y los "ciberataques" contra sus servicios.
La agencia oficial Xinhua reiteró que Washington está detrás de la polémica levantada en el caso Google. "Desde su cena con los ejecutivos de Google antes del discurso sobre la libertad en Internet el pasado jueves, puede verse fácilmente a la Secretaria de Estado, Hillary Clinton, en el proceso", indicó la fuente oficial.
En ese discurso, Clinton lamentó los crecientes intentos de Pekín de controlar lo que pueden ver 384 millones de usuarios chinos, añadió Xinhua. "Pedimos a EEUU que respete los hechos y deje de utilizar la llamada libertad de internet para criticar a China sin razón", había destacado por su parte el portavoz del ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de China, Ma Zhaoxu.
