Mientras los alimentos de ganado clonado han sido aprobados en EEUU y tienen el visto bueno preliminar en la UE, la polémica sigue.
El ministro de Agricultura francés, Michel Barnier, durante una entrevista en la cadena de radio RMC, fue interrogado sobre si probará estos productos. Dijo: “No, hay problemas éticos y de aceptación social y no vamos a copiar el modelo americano”.
El Comité de Ética sobre Ciencia y Nuevas Tecnologías de la UE también ha expresado sus “dudas” en materia de ética y bienestar animal.
