El director general de Intel Corporation Iberia, Brian G. González, destacó hoy que en el primer trimestre el mercado español de ordenadores portátiles creció un 20%, frente al de sobremesa que cayó un 30%, lo que ha supuesto un ligero crecimiento general, en torno la 3%.
El directivo de la filial ibérica del mayor fabricante del mundo de semiconductores comentó los resultados de Intel en el primer trimestre del año, que ha tenido un beneficio y unos ingresos inferiores con respecto al año anterior.
En el primer trimestre la venta de ordenadores personales ha tocado su mínimo y se espera que en el segundo se comenzará a notar una recuperación gradual del mercado.
En todos los mercados, y especialmente en España, los tradicionales ordenadores de sobremesa han disminuido su cuota de mercado, cifra que ha aumentado en el caso de los ordenadores portátiles, máxime desde la aparición de los netbooks, equipos portáiltes de dimensiones y precios reducidos.
