Dubái inaugurará el próximo 4 de enero el Burj Dubái, considerada la torre más alta del mundo, con una altura de al menos 800 metros.
Está programado que el gobernador de Dubái, el jeque Mohamed bin Rashed al Maktum, asista al acto de inauguración, en el que se espera que numerosos emiratíes estén presentes para visitar el rascacielos y ver desde arriba todo el emirato.
La compañía inmobiliaria Emaar, que se encarga de la construcción de la torre, no ha revelado hasta el momento la altura exacta de Burj Dubái, que se compone de 160 plantas y 160 habitaciones residenciales de lujo.
Se puede ver el punto más alto de la torre desde una distancia máxima de 95 kilómetros.
En la planta número 124 se encuentra una ventana de observación considerada la más alta del mundo, desde la cual se contempla todo Dubái.
Hay también plantas administrativas, cerca de medio centenar, de las cuales doce se encuentran en un edificio adjunto a este rascacielos.
La torre, en cuya construcción han trabajado más de 12.000 obreros, tiene 57 ascensores y 3.000 plazas de aparcamiento subterráneo.
