"Adolfo Suárez es un personaje muy complejo, inabarcable, que creía profundamente en lo que hacía". Con este punto de partida, el actor Ginés García Millán ha afrontado el reto de encarnar al político en Adolfo Suárez, el presidente, la TV movie de dos capítulos que Antena 3 estrena esta noche a las 22.15 horas.
Esta ficción de Antena 3 Films y Europroducciones TV recrea en 150 minutos los grandes momentos de la historia política y personal del ex presidente, desde su juventud hasta el golpe de Estado del 23-F; todo un "tributo" para las jóvenes generaciones que no vivieron aquel periodo, según explicó uno de sus productores, Carlo Boserman.
"En algún momento histórico, a Suárez no se le ha dado su justo reconocimiento y nosotros hemos querido enseñar esa historia a través de sus ojos, de sus emociones", precisó Boserman.
Para retratar la figura del ex presidente y el espíritu de la Transición, los guionistas Juan Carlos Rubio y Carlos Asorey han llevado a cabo un trabajo de documentación "muy intenso" y han leído "prácticamente todo" lo que se ha publicado sobre la figura del ex presidente.

Además, han contado con el trabajo del periodista Luis Mariñas, que entrevistó a los políticos que conocieron a Suárez para conocer en profundidad lo sucedido, explicó Asorey, quien confesó que a todo el equipo le conmovía el estado de salud actual del ex presidente, ya que este telefilme es un homenaje que él "no va a poder apreciar como tal".
Respecto a la postura de la familia de Suárez, Boserman precisó que conoce el proyecto, pero que no ha querido participar "por respeto a su padre".
