La Comisión de Control y Disciplina de la UEFA ha abierto un procedimiento disciplinario al centrocapista del FC Barcelona Sergio Busquets por dirigir presuntamente insultos racistas contra Marcelo durante el partido de ida de la Liga de Campeones disputado contra el Real Madrid el pasado 27 de abril.
El caso se tratará este domingo 15 de mayo y la decisión será comunicada al club el lunes 16 de mayo. El jugador podría ser sancionado con hasta cinco partidos de suspensión y podría perderse la final de la Champions frente al Manchester United, el día 28 en Londres.

"Se alega que ha violado el Artículo 11 bis del Reglamento Disciplinario", dice el texto de la UEFA, que añade: "El procedimiento se ha iniciado basándose en las pruebas remitidas por el Real Madrid CF (vídeo y declaraciones del club y del jugador)".
En un vídeo que subido a Internet puede deducirse que el jugador blaugrana llama "mono" al jugador blanco.
