MADRID.- La tasa de morosidad en la banca española cayó levemente en febrero al 12,499% desde el 12,545% de enero, según datos publicados el miércoles por el Banco de España. De ese modo, la mora bancaria se sitúa por debajo del 12,5% por primera vez desde agosto de 2013.
El saldo de los créditos de dudoso cobro bajó en 1.240 millones en febrero, hasta los 170.412 millones de euros y se sitúa al borde de romper mínimos desde mayo de 2013.
Mientras que el volumen total de créditos se redujo en 4.919 millones respecto al mes anterior. Así, el crédito total de la banca española se situaba a finales de febrero en 1,363 billones de euros, un descenso de casi 90.000 millones de euros en los últimos doce meses.
La tasa de morosidad encadena así seis meses consecutivos de caídas y se encamina a perder la barrera del 12%, aunque el descenso es menos pronunciado debido a que el saldo de crédito se ha reducido un 0,36%. En concreto, el crédito global del sector se ha rebajado en 4.919 millones de euros en febrero respecto al mes precedente.
De este modo, la morosidad de la banca ha reducido en febrero en más de un punto porcentual el máximo histórico marcado en diciembre de 2013, cuando se situó en el 13,6%. También supone 3,34 puntos porcentuales menos respecto al máximo de la crisis anterior, que data de 1994, cuando se estableció en el 9,15%.
