El coordinador federal de IU, Cayo Lara, ha dicho hoy que apoyará "a tope" la convocatoria de una huelga general contra la reforma laboral y que si se produce, será por la demanda social y porque el PP es incapaz de echar marcha atrás.
Lara ha hecho estas declaraciones en la Puerta del Sol, donde los sindicatos CCOO y UGT de Madrid han convocado una concentración de respaldo a la jornada de movilización que celebra hoy la Confederación Europea de Sindicatos (CES) en 24 países europeos contra los recortes sociales y los ajustes presupuestarios.
Según Lara, si CCOO y UGT convocan la huelga general, la respaldará, aunque ha deseado que el PP rectifique y haga una reforma empresarial para que la patronal pague más impuestos y se acabe con el fraude fiscal.
De la reforma laboral Cayo Lara ha advertido de que lo que se pretende es sustituir a trabajadores mayores y con derechos por jóvenes precarios, lo que, en su opinión, va a producir una "enorme sangría" de asalariados.
Cayo Lara considera que la respuesta ciudadana deber ser "masiva y contundente" Además, el coordinador federal de IU ha denunciado que esos despidos serán subvencionados por el Gobierno en "muchas ocasiones", en referencia a que el Fondo de Garantía Salarial abona 8 días de las indemnizaciones para las pymes.
Por todo ello, Cayo Lara considera que la respuesta ciudadana deber ser "masiva y contundente" para evitar que se vuelva a las relaciones laborales del siglo XIX y para que cuando acabe el año no se hayan alcanzado los 6 millones de parados.
En este sentido, el dirigente de IU ha avisado de que nadie está hoy seguro en su trabajo y ha criticado que los sectores "más radicales" de la patronal CEOE pretendan quitar a los funcionarios su seguridad laboral.
