Los cooperantes y activistas españoles Manuel Tapial y Laura Arau se personarán este viernes en la Audiencia Nacional para formalizar una querella criminal contra el gobierno israelí por el abordaje el pasado mes de mayo de la Flotilla de la Libertad.
Los hechos acabaron con la vida de nueve activistas turcos por disparos de los comandos israelíes que abordaron el barco con ayuda humanitaria en el que viajaban por aguas internacionales, un suceso que condujo posteriormente al levantamiento parcial del bloqueo a la franja.
Varias organizaciones, entre ellas de Irán y Líbano, llevaban anunciando desde entonces que volverían a intentar romper el bloqueo israelí.

En un comunicado difundido este miércoles por la Asociación Cultura, Paz y Solidaridad , de la que forman parte Tapial y Arau, se recuerda que en los citados hechos resultaron heridos 50 personas de diversa consideración.
Un portavoz de la citada asociación indicó que 'con la ley en la mano se trata de un delito al haber sido atacado un barco civil en aguas internacionales'.
'Tenemos plena confianza en la justicia española', ha señalado el citado portavoz, quien agregó que esperaba que 'nuestra justicia nos escuche'.
