ALMERÍA.- Veinte subsaharianos han sido rescatados por una embarcación de Salvamento Marítimo que interceptó anoche la patera en la que viajaban a 53 millas náuticas al sur de Almería.
La embarcación Guardamar Polimnia de Salvamento Marítimo atracó en la madrugada de este sábado el puerto de Almería, para desembarcar a 20 subsaharianos, entre ellos 18 varones y dos mujeres, rescatados de una patera.
Un portavoz del organismo ha informado de que la embarcación fue avistada a las 23.29 horas por el avión Sasemar 102, que se sumó a la búsqueda a última hora de la tarde de ayer.
Salvamento Marítimo recibió la llamada de un cooperante a las 15.40 horas alertando de la salida de dicha embarcación, a bordo de la cual navegaban 27 personas, según su versión, si bien finalmente iban siete inmigrantes menos.
A continuación fueron movilizadas la embarcación Guardamar Polimnia y el avión Sasemar 306, que buscaron la patera coordinados por el Centro Coordinador de Salvamento Marítimo en Almería.
