Las enfermeras y los trabajadores sociales serán los encargados de impartir la asignatura de educación sexual, una de las medidas fundamentales para evitar los embarazos no deseados y las enfermedades de transmisión sexual, según recoge la Ley del Aborto.
La norma entrará en vigor el próximo 5 de julio, en plenas vacaciones de los estudiantes. Por ello, será a partir del próximo septiembre cuando se empiecen a impartir los cursos. La ministra de Sanidad, Trinidad Jiménez, avanzó la semana pasada que la asignatura recaerá en enfermeras y trabajadores sociales, pero aún quedan por definir sus contenidos exactos y en qué cursos se impartirá.
Ni los colegios oficiales de Enfermería ni los de Trabajo Social conocían al finalizar la semana los detalles de los contenidos. Se habían enterado de que son los profesionales escogidos para enseñar educación sexual por el anuncio de la ministra a la prensa, y poco más. Sanidad tampoco se ha reunido con el Ministerio de Educación para concretar los flecos pendientes, según pudo saber Público. Por su parte, en el Ministerio de Igualdad aseguran que el desarrollo de esta parte de la ley lo lleva Sanidad.
Reunión en Sanidad
Trinidad Jiménez y los consejeros autonómicos del ramo debatirán hoy, en el seno del Consejo Interterritorial de Salud, sobre el desarrollo de la nueva Ley del Aborto. Entre otros detalles, se espera que avancen en los contenidos de la asignatura de salud sexual. También detallarán los criterios que deberán cumplir todos los centros que realicen interrupciones del embarazo, de forma que se garantice que la prestación cumpla unos mínimos de calidad.
