El expresidente del Gobierno, Felipe González, ha defendido hoy la necesidad del consenso entre las principales fuerzas políticas del país. "Es la hora de recorrer el camino para anteponer los intereses de España a los intereses partidistas o de grupo", ha defendido.
González ha advertido que nos acercamos a una situación de "emergencia total" y por ello "tenemos que sacar al país adelante entre todos". "No digo que la situación de emergencia sea de hoy, hace cuatro años que lo vengo diciendo, pero cuando la emergencia no se asume como tal, cada vez se acerca más a una situación delicada de emergencia total", ha sostenido.
Tras este aviso, el expresidente ha hecho un llamamiento "al diálogo, al entendimiento y al consenso". "Hace 30 años cuando llegué al gobierno no estábamos en mejores condiciones de arrancar, aunque esta sea la peor crisis que hemos vivido", ha asegurado.
González ha defendido hoy que haya transparencia en el caso Bankia y que comparezcan en el Congreso "los responsables a todos los niveles", tras lo cual "se deducirá si hace falta o no una comisión de investigación".

En su opinión, el gobernador del Banco de España, Miguel Ángel Fernández Ordóñez, tenía que haber ido ya al Congreso para explicar lo ocurrido en Bankia y ha añadido: "Si tiene que ir (Rodrigo) Rato o (Miguel) Blesa (anteriores presidentes de Bankia) que vaya el que tenga que ir" y expliquen lo sucedido en esa entidad para que haya tenido que ser rescatada por el Gobierno.
De esa explicación "si es transparente o no y suficiente o no se derivarán otras cosas, una comisión de investigación o no", pero no antes de aclarar el proceso, aunque ha lamentado que "la gente razona al revés". González ha hecho estas declaraciones a los periodistas tras haber recibido hoy el título de Hijo Predilecto de su ciudad natal de Sevilla.
