A punto de salir de la COPE, Federico Jiménez Losantos no ha encontrado mejor confesor que la revista Vanity Fair, publicación a la que ha concedido una entrevista muy personal. Con la lengua afilada, el periodista, que está a punto de embarcarse en el nuevo proyecto de 'esRadio', habla de su salida de la cadena de los obispos y repasa la actualidad, además de hablar de lo divino y de lo humano, según recoge Libertad Digital.
Losantos habla, por ejemplo del miedo. "Miedo me da siempre el Gobierno porque te puede hacer la vida muy difícil. Pero yo ya estoy vacunado", afirma. Reconoce que él también es capaz de provocarlo: "Doy poco miedo porque ya estoy amortizado, pero quizá más en Génova: son más débiles y han estado acomplejados".
El periodista no se olvida de una de sus principales obsesiones: Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, alcalde de Madrid. "Gallardón y sus secuaces periodísticos han intentado liquidarme", asegura. Se siente víctima Losantos de una operación "que no se ha hecho nunca contra ningún periodista en la historia de España".
Sobre su salida de la COPE, Losantos dice que la Conferencia Episcopal tiene "el apoyo de la base, incluyendo los curas, las monjas y las monjas de clausura. Otra cosa son los equilibrios por encima de eso".
En un plano más personal, el polémico locutor confiesa que su mayor pecado es la soberbia "porque he salido de tantas que llega un momento en el que tengo esa cosa infantil de sentirme invulnerable". Entre sus virtudes destaca que no miente, al menos conscientemente: "Mentir, pudiendo decir la verdad, me parece una mamarrachada".
