El PSOE exigió ayer al PP que "deje de presionar a las televisiones públicas y privadas con maniobras que demuestran su escaso talante democrático" después de que los conservadores anunciaran su compromiso de "no interponer ninguna reclamación" por "vulneración del principio de proporcionalidad" en la información electoral que emitan las televisiones privadas.
En un comunicado, el partido conservador mostró así su "confianza en la objetividad e independencia" de los profesionales de estas cadenas, aunque advirtió de que sí reclamará "de las televisiones públicas el estricto cumplimiento de las reglas establecidas por las Juntas Electorales".
"El supuesto compromiso expresado por el PP no es más que otra maniobra estratégica destinada a presionar a las televisiones y a minar la pluralidad informativa de los medios de comunicación privados y públicos", denunciaron los socialistas.
El PSOE recalcó en su réplica al anuncio de los conservadores que "resulta paradójico que ahora el PP confíe en la objetividad e independencia de los profesionales de las televisiones privadas, cuando hace sólo unos días presentó una reclamación contra varias de estas cadenas por ofrecer información objetiva sobre los imputados que concurren en sus listas en Valencia", según recordó el PSOE en un comunicado.
El PP apoyó el establecimiento de estas cuotas de presencia de los partidos en los informativos en función de su representatividad en la última reforma de la Ley Electoral aprobada en el Congreso, que salió adelante también con el respaldo del PSOE.
