¿Apoya que se endurezca la ley antitabaco?
Estamos absolutamente en contra, porque no es una solución que respete los derechos de todos ni es lo que quiere la gente. Optamos por la separación de espacios, que haya sitio para todos. También pedimos el esfuerzo de los fumadores para de vez en cuando ir con sus amigos no fumadores a la parte libre de humo. Eso es el respeto.
Pero en algunas autonomías no se cumple esa separación.
Eso no justifica un endurecimiento de la ley, sino un replanteamiento.
El Gobierno alega que cuenta con el beneplácito de un 70% de la población para endurecer la norma.
El Ministerio de Sanidad se basa en supuestos falsos. Sé que el tabaco no es beneficioso, pero aun así soy mayor de edad y quiero seguir fumando. Legislar para prohibir no forma parte de un ideario progresista. La madurez significa libertad y asumir las consecuencias de esa libertad.
Los no fumadores denuncian que con la norma actual no se respetan sus derechos.
Estos grupos son gente extremista que no está contenta con que se respete su derecho a no consumir humo de tabaco. Ni en la legislación española ni en la Constitución existe algo parecido a un supuesto derecho que sea el ir a un bar o a un restaurante. Si una persona quiere ir a un local donde no se fume, lo debe buscar. Pero los propietarios de los bares no son tontos, y si el 99% de los bares pequeños ha decidido permitir fumar es porque no tienen tan claro que la mayoría de clientes no fume.
