Tomás Gómez se ha mostrado hoy crítico con el viaje del rey a un campamento de caza en Bostsuana que le ha producido una lesión en la cadera, por la que permanece ingresado. El secretario general del PSM y portavoz en la Asamblea de Madrid ha manifestado que el rey debe elegir entre sus responsabilidades públicas o una abdicación.
'Ha llegado el momento de que la Casa Real se plantee, en este caso el jefe del Estado, que tiene que elegir entre las obligaciones y las servidumbres de las responsabilidades públicas o una abdicación que le permita disfrutar de una vida diferente', ha dicho Gómez en rueda de prensa en la sede del PSM.
El secretario general del PSM ha afirmado que lo sucedido es 'poco edificante' y no es lo que esperaban 'los españoles de la Casa Real en momentos de crisis'.
El monarca, que según el último parte médico ya 'camina con muletas' y evoluciona positivamente, ha recibido esta mañana la visita del presidente del Gobierno, Mariano Rajoy, con quien se reunirá de nuevo este viernes. Se espera que tanto su hijo Felipe como sus nietos acudan esta tarde a la clínica madrileña donde se encuentra ingresado tras la operación.
