Al menos 15 civiles han muerto por la explosión de una bomba caminera en la conflictiva provincia de Helmand, en el sur de Afganistán, informó hoy una fuente oficial.
Los hechos ocurrieron en la tarde de ayer, viernes, en una zona aislada del distrito de Janishin, donde un artefacto explosivo estalló al paso de un vehículo en el que viajaban los civiles, según explicó el portavoz del gobernador de Helmand, Daud Ahmadi.
De acuerdo con su versión, la detonación causó la muerte de entre 15 personas, incluidos mujeres y niños.
Ahmadi culpó de la explosión a la insurgencia talibán. Las minas y las bombas camineras de fabricación casera son uno de los métodos que suelen emplear los insurgentes talibanes para hostigar a las tropas internacionales desplegadas en Afganistán, aunque suelen causar bajas entre la población civil.
