El gobierno sueco ha lanzado este lunes Openaid.se, un servicio online que ofrece acceso a archivos no confidenciales del Ministerio de Exteriores y de la Agencia de Cooperación (SIDA) sobre los proyectos de ayuda, desarrollo y cooperación llevados a cabo por el país desde los años 70.
La iniciativa "pretende combinar el principio sueco de total transparencia y el acceso público a la información con las nuevas posibilidades que ofrece la tecnología", ha señalado la ministra de cooperación sueca, Gunilla Carlsson.
El material ya se encontraba disponible, pero para acceder a él era imprescindible sortear todo tipo de trámites burocráticos que hacían muy dificultosa su consulta. Ahora ya no será así: "Cualquiera puede seguir la cadena de ayuda desde el principio hasta el final, desde las decisiones generales sobre la orientación y distribución de la ayuda a las decisiones específicas, pagos, ejecución y seguimiento de dicha ayuda", puede leerse en la propia página web.
Los documentos pueden localizarse a través de diferentes criterios, como países, organizaciones o el año. La web está en sueco, mientras que los documentos están publicados en su idioma original.
Otros países también se muestran favorables a esta apertura de archivos, como Noruega, Estados Unidos y Gran Bretaña, "aunque los datos no se remiten a décadas anteriores", ha comentado la ministra Carlsson.
