Actualizado:
Al menos diez personas han muerto y otras 16 han resultado heridas de diversa consideración al estrellarse un avión de Naciones Unidas durante la maniobra de aterrizaje en el aeropuerto de Kinshasa, según ha informado una fuente de la ONU.
"El avión aterrizó a plomo, se rompió en dos y se incendió", ha explicado la fuente, que ha pedido no ser identificada. El avión regresaba de la ciudad de Goma, en el este de República Democrática del Congo.
Sin embargo, un testigo de los hechos asegura que el número de muertos es de 17. La fuente precisó asimismo que no se cree que haya supervivientes y que el avión, que transportaba sólo a personal de la ONU, quedó totalmente destruido.
