El candidato socialista a la presidencia francesa, François Hollande, afirma que "la perspectiva" de su victoria en la segunda vuelta del próximo día 6 (ganó la primera vuelta de los comicios y sigue por delante en las encuestas) ha provocado ya que la canciller alemana, Angela Merkel, cambie su postura sobre la introducción de medidas en favor del crecimiento económico.
Merkel y otros dirigentes europeos han tomado la victoria de Hollande "como una hipótesis suficientemente seria para modificar sus calendarios y el contenido de la agenda europea", ha dicho Hollande en Radio J.
En declaraciones que publica el rotativo alemán Leipziger Volkszeitung, la canciller anuncia la redacción de una "agenda del crecimiento" para la Unión Europea que deberá estar lista para la próxima cumbre de jefes de Estado y Gobierno de la UE en junio. "Merkel recupera la iniciativa propuesta por el presidente (Herman) van Rompuy para el Consejo Europeo, dice que está dispuesta a inducir a un mayor crecimiento. Aunque sólo sea por eso, la campaña ha sido ya útil", celebra Hollande.
"Habrá una renegociación" del tratado europeo de estabilidad y "habrá un pacto para el crecimiento", ha señalado antes de añadir que, aunque Merkel rechaza renegociar el pacto fiscal europeo, si se ha movido en el aspecto del crecimiento también lo hará en otros temas.
"Hace unas semanas ni siquiera quería oír hablar de la palabra crecimiento, por lo cercana que se siente de la austeridad. Pero se ha movido y se moverá todavía más después de las elecciones" francesas, ha concluido. El candidato socialista considera que Merkel no puede ser intransigente sobre "el estatus del Banco Central Europeo, los eurobonos o la tasa sobre las transacciones financieras". "En una negociación, todo el mundo pone sobre la mesa su postura y alguna concesión", afirma.
