MADRID.- El responsable del programa económico de Ciudadanos (C's), Luis Garicano, ha salido en defensa de la consejera en funciones de Educación, Juventud y Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid, Lucía Figar, imputada por delitos de corrupción en la causa derivada de la operación Púnica. A su juicio, la Guardia Civil "se ha pasado esta vez".
En un mensaje publicado este miércoles en su perfil de Twitter, incluye un enlace a una información según la cual Figar contrató con dinero público a Eico Online, una de las empresas implicadas en la trama Púnica, para que creara y actualizara "su blog personal", desde el cual se difundieron "noticias favorables sobre su gestión para ocultar las críticas".
"Leyendo la noticia sobre Lucía Figar me parece que la UCO se ha pasado esta vez. El blog personal ES oficial", dice el economista en el tuit en referencia a la Unidad Central Operativa (UCO) de la Guardia Civil, que investiga la trama.

Esta valoración de Garicano se produce un día después de que el cabeza de lista de Ciudadanos en la Comunidad de Madrid, Ignacio Aguado, afirmara que la imputación de Figar y de Salvador Victoria, consejero en funciones de Presidencia y Justicia, complica "cualquier acercamiento" con el PP, que fue el partido más votado en las elecciones autonómicas y aspira a formar gobierno.
El presidente de C's, Albert Rivera, ha confirmado esta postura y se ha preguntado si la candidata popular a la Presidencia regional, Cristina Cifuentes, "es capaz de romper con ese PP de Madrid y abrir una etapa limpia".
