El ex secretario general de UGT-Asturias, Justo Rodríguez Braga, figura entre los cinco detenidos por la Guardia Civil dentro de la operación que está llevando a cabo este martes con el registro de la sede regional del sindicato en el Principado, según han informado a Efe fuentes cercanas a la investigación.
Las mismas fuentes han señalado que se llevarán a cabo más registros dentro de la operación que lleva a cabo la Unidad Central Operativa (UCO) de la Guardia Civil con apoyo de la Comandancia de Asturias relacionada con presuntas irregularidades en las subvenciones para formación.
La Fiscalía denunció en 2015 al sindicato en Asturias ante el juzgado por la supuesta actuación fraudulenta en materia de subvenciones públicas llevada a cabo a través de su fundación, el Instituto de Formación y Estudios Sociales (IFES).
La denuncia respondía a la investigación de la Guardia Civil que, desde 2014, investigaba a UGT de Asturias por presuntos delitos contra la Hacienda Pública (desvío de fondos para las subvenciones) y falsedad documental.
La Fiscalía destacó entonces que los hechos guardaban semejanza con los que se investigaban en Sevilla y que la investigación había permitido aflorar indicios de "diversas conductas de apariencia delictiva".
