El ministro de Exteriores, José Manuel García-Margallo, ha animado este martea a los ciudadanos a "españolear por el mundo" y a "vender los méritos y bondades de España", para así "ganar votos" en organismos internacionales como la Unión Europea o la ONU.
Margallo ha asistido en la Casa de América a la presentación del festival de cante flamenco de Las Minas, de Murcia, un acontecimiento que ha aprovechado para recordar la importancia de la Marca España en el exterior y que, ha dicho, "parece que la aprecian más fuera que nosotros mismos".
El ministro se ha dirigido a los que critican la efectividad de la Marca España y ha anunciado que otras naciones, como Francia, han pedido consejo a su Ministerio para llevar a cabo una "experiencia similar" en sus territorios.
Parafraseando a Miguel de Unamuno, García-Margallo ha afirmado que "todos deberíamos españolear por el mundo", poniendo en común los activos del país.
