MADRID.- El exvicepresidente del Gobierno Rodrigo Rato ha recurrido a la Audiencia Provincial la instrucción del caso en el que un juzgado de Madrid le investiga por delitos fiscales, corrupción y blanqueo, ya que considera que se están quebrantado sus derechos al acordar pruebas "a espaldas" de su defensa.
Así lo expresa el exministro en un recurso de apelación en el que añade que esta vulneración, "constante y reiterada", se constata tanto en las prórrogas del secreto sobre la causa, que se sigue en el juzgado de Instrucción número 31 de Madrid, cuyo titular es el juez Antonio Serrano-Artal, como en los cuatro meses de demora en la entrega del sumario de la pieza principal.
La defensa del que fuera director gerente del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) reitera al instructor del caso que considere la práctica de nuevas pruebas, solicitadas por Rato en febrero, apenas un mes después de que se levantara el secreto sobre la pieza que investiga una supuesta corrupción entre particulares.
En concreto, requería diversos documentos a Bankia, entre ellos la evaluación -con la identidad de sus autores- de las agencias de publicidad y centrales de medios que se presentaron al concurso de adjudicación de la marca en diciembre de 2010, pruebas que consideran "esenciales" para poder valorar el resultado de una convocatoria finalmente concedida a Publicis y Zenith.
