Sanidad retira del mercado varios lotes de dos antibióticos.
La Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios ha ordenado la retirada del mercado de varios lotes de dos antibióticos -Genta Gobens y Gentamicina Braun- por contener un nivel de histamina en el principio activo superior al límite establecido. La histamina es un mediador químico responsable de los síntomas de la reacción alérgica.
En concreto, se trata de diferentes presentaciones de varios viales e inyectables de Genta Gobens, y de veinte frascos de 80 mililitros de la solución para perfusión intravenosa Gentamicina Braun de 1 miligramo por mililitro, un fármaco éste último para uso hospitalario.
La gentamicina es un antibiótico que se utiliza para combatir infecciones graves como la septicemia, del sistema nervioso central, del aparato urinario, gastrointestinales, de la piel, tejidos subcutáneos y quemaduras, las vías respiratorias y huesos, entre otras.
El fabricante del principio activo es Fujian Fukang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., de China. En el caso de Genta Gobens el laboratorio que comercializa el fármaco es Normon, mientras que en el segundo caso se trata de Braun Medical.
